Confidence in Princes (or Prime Ministers)

Where there is discord, may we bring harmony.
Where there is error, may we bring truth.
Where there is doubt, may we bring faith.
And where there is despair, may we bring hope.
– Margaret Thatcher, after her election as prime minister

Since then, under governments of all parties, there has been…

…increasing discord, error, doubt, and despair.
…decreasing harmony, truth, faith, and hope.

Psalm 118:9

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

for all she got right and all she got wrong she was still a mother and grand mother who died alone a shadow of her former self.some times deaths not the worst thing?

Hello, John. The people who can’t remember our common humanity in these situations demean and diminish only themselves.

Death is certainly not the worst thing. Death without the Lord, without knowing your sins are forgiven, without restored love with Him, is the worst thing.
