Satan’s Job

Don’t beat yourself up for past sins.  That’s Satan’s job.

I John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Revelation 12:9-10

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

I’ve got my faults, but living in the past isn’t one of them. There’s no future in it.
    – Sparky Anderson, manager of the Detroit Tigers (Sounds like something Yogi Berra would say!) 😉

I’ve heard that before, but had forgotten it. He had a lot of great quotes. 🙂 For me, he’ll always be the manager of the Reds, not the Tigers, after that World Series against the Red Sox. That was such an amazing team. But I suppose this isn’t a baseball post….

    Subitopiano, that quotation is priceless.

Jon, one thing that Satan is good at is his job, of discouraging Christians. It is one reason why we need to meet regularly to fortify each other with the Word.
