I got my results. Blood pressure, good, cholesterol, good. No signs of diabetes. Liver, thyroid, all blood counts good. X-ray shows pneumonia gone. Cracked rib healing. So, I’m still often tired, but all signs point to things going in the right direction.
So I arrived home, and announced, perhaps a trifle proudly and rather ungrammatically, “I HAVE been watching what I eat and I CAN have fish and chips. I’m doing good.”
A voice, in a tone which would have made Eeyore proud, emerged from behind a desk (where someone was SUPPOSED to have been working), “There is none that doeth good,” citing Romans 3:12/Psalm 14:3. 🙂
I trained that kid too well, I guess.
Ha ha.
That’s kids for you.
If you are going to be corrected by your children, at least you can be happy they are quoting scripture at you.
The downside is that you cannot question it as it is God’s word.
I would make him or her do more chores. That’s way you can get revenge.
This might be one of the most profitable comments anyone has ever posted here! Although he’ll be pretty unhappy with those chores by the time he sees you Sunday, so be warned! 🙂
Looks like I have put my foot in it now.
Let’s hope he has calmed down by Sunday. Anyway we Christians should forgive each other for our sins ( Luke 11.4 )
🙂
Thanks for the chuckle!
